The National Security Advisor, Qassem Al-Araji, received this Thursday evening, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Amir Abdullahian, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Iranian Ambassador in Baghdad,
According to a statement by the Iranian Foreign Minister’s Chancellery, Al-Araji blessed the return of his country’s relations in the region, stressing that it is a clear sign of strengthening security and stability in the region.
Al-Araji also pointed out that the statement of Mr. Al-Sistani, the statement of the Iraqi government, and the popular events and demonstrations that will begin tomorrow in Baghdad are a reinforcement of positions of support for the Palestinian people.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that Iraq has an important position in the region, pointing out that what is happening in Gaza would affect the region, stressing his country’s support for Palestinian rights, stressing the need to provide appropriate conditions to stop the killing of civilian children in Palestine.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also expressed his country's thanks for the tireless efforts of the Iraqi government in the border file between the two countries.
