The Head of the Sovereignty Alliance, Khamis Al-Khanjar, visited Ankara and met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
A statement by Al-Khanjar's office stated: "The two sides discussed the file of bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey, days before the official visit to be made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Baghdad."
