New york: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM): The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced that a deep depression over the northeast Arabian Sea is expected to gradually intensify into a tropical storm within the coming three days. However, it is confirmed that this development will have no impact on the country.
According to Emirates News Agency, the latest update from NCM indicates that the system is currently located at coordinates 21.3°N and 67.1°E. The wind speeds within the system are reported to be ranging between 65 and 85 km/h.
Forecasts project that the depression will deepen over the next three days. It is expected to gradually strengthen into a tropical storm with wind speeds increasing to between 100 and 120 km/h. The storm’s projected path is west-southwest towards the central Arabian Sea.
