Assent Steel Industries to Expand Operations with AED120 Million Investment in Dubai Industrial City

Abu dhabi: Dubai Industrial City, part of TECOM Group PJSC, has entered a musataha agreement with Assent Steel Industries, a prominent structural steel fabricator and supplier in the UAE, to expand its operations within the district. This expansion aims to enhance the company's advanced manufacturing capabilities to better serve global markets.

According to Emirates News Agency, Assent Steel Industries plans to invest an additional AED120 million over the next three years, increasing its total investment at Dubai Industrial City to AED406 million. The expansion will cover approximately 2.2 million square feet of new development, bringing the company's total hired space at Dubai Industrial City to approximately 5.1 million square feet, solidifying its status as a leading steel fabrication hub in the region.

The new facility is projected to become operational by the second quarter of 2028, with a phased ramp-up to match project demand. Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President - Industrial at TECOM Group, expressed confidence in the partnership, noting the strategic advantages offered by Dubai Industrial City. The district's integrated infrastructure, robust logistics network, and proximity to key trade gateways enable manufacturers like Assent Steel Industries to expand capacity and enhance efficiency, aligning with the UAE's national industrial goals, including Operation 300bn and the Dubai Economic Agenda.

The expansion will boost Assent Steel Industries' production capacity from approximately 100,000 tonnes per annum to around 130,000 tonnes per annum. This increased capacity will allow the company to meet the growing demand for large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across global markets. Niall O'Connell, Managing Director of Assent Steel Industries, stated that the expansion underscores the company's commitment to strengthening its engineering and fabrication capabilities while delivering complex steel structures to clients worldwide. He highlighted Dubai's industrial ecosystem as a key factor in providing the scale, efficiency, and connectivity required to serve demanding international markets.
