Babylon Police Command announced today, Friday, the rescue of a forty-year-old man who attempted to commit suicide by drowning in the Euphrates River by jumping from the top of a bridge in central Hilla.
Babylon Police Director of Information, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, said, “The police foiled a suicide attempt by a man in his forties who threw himself into the Euphrates River passing through the city of Hilla.”
He added that the police took the necessary legal measures.
