China Launches New Marine Satellite

Jiuquan: China on Thursday sent a new marine satellite into orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China. A Long March-4B rocket carrying the Haiyang-2E satellite took off at 7:46 am (Beijing Time), sending the satellite into the planned orbit.

According to Emirates News Agency, the successful launch of the Haiyang-2E satellite marks another step in China's efforts to enhance its maritime observation capabilities. The satellite is expected to provide data that will support marine environmental monitoring, disaster prevention, and marine scientific research.
