China’s Commercial Rocket SD-3 Successfully Launches Seven Satellites from Sea


Yangjiang: China’s Smart Dragon-3 (SD-3) carrier rocket made a successful launch from the sea, carrying seven satellites into their designated orbits.



According to Emirates News Agency, the SD-3 rocket took off at 2:37 pm Beijing Time from waters near the coast of Yangjiang in Guangdong province. The launch marks another milestone in China’s commercial space endeavors, leveraging maritime platforms to deploy satellites. The sea-based launch approach is seen as a strategic move to enhance China’s aerospace capabilities by allowing more flexible launch schedules and locations.
