Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Engages in Strategic Talks with Chinese Business Leaders

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has engaged in a series of strategic meetings with chairmen of prominent Chinese companies operating in sectors such as energy, petrochemicals, sovereign investment, advanced technology, renewable energy, and electronics.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meetings were aimed at reinforcing the UAE-China comprehensive strategic partnership and exploring new avenues for economic and developmental cooperation between the two nations. The discussions underscored the commitment to mutual growth and sustainability.

During a meeting with Dai Houliang, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), both parties deliberated on expanding collaboration in the energy sector. The dialogue included clean energy solutions, strengthening supply chains for regional and global energy security, and exploring future cooperation opportunities.

In a separate discussion with Liao Zengtai, Chairman of Wanhua Chemical Group, the focus was on manufacturing sector cooperation. The talks highlighted leveraging modern technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support industrial sustainability.

Sheikh Khaled also engaged with Zhang Qingsong, Chairman and CEO of China Investment Corporation (CIC), to advance the investment partnership. They explored promising opportunities in both markets and emphasized cooperation in areas that support shared strategic interests and sustainable development goals.

The Crown Prince met with Robin Zeng Yuqun, Founder and CEO of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), a leader in lithium-ion batteries and energy storage solutions. Discussions revolved around enhancing cooperation in energy efficiency, knowledge exchange in battery manufacturing, and supporting smart mobility solutions to advance Net Zero goals.

Additionally, H.H. Sheikh Khaled held talks with Lei Jun, Chairman of Xiaomi Corporation, to explore collaboration in technological innovation and advanced electronics, as well as strengthening partnerships for digital transformation in both countries' economic growth agendas.

The meetings were attended by key UAE dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Saif Saeed Ghobash, and Maryam Eid AlMheiri.
