DEWA and Turkey Explore Energy and Infrastructure Collaboration

Dubai: Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), recently met with Ltfullah G¶ktas, Turkey's Ambassador to the UAE, at DEWA's headquarters. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between DEWA and Turkish companies in the fields of energy, water, and infrastructure.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting, also attended by Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA, explored investment opportunities in areas of shared interest. Al Tayer presented DEWA's strategies and highlighted key projects, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, noted as the world's largest single-site solar park. This initiative aligns with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050.

Al Tayer also emphasized the UAE's rapid advancements in the energy sector, particularly its adoption of advanced technologies and sustainable energy solutions. He pointed out the country's leading experience in water desalination and resource management as crucial areas for knowledge exchange between the UAE and Turkey.

Ltfullah G¶ktas praised DEWA's achievements in energy, water, and sustainability, expressing Turkey's interest in deepening its collaboration with DEWA on various development and investment projects.
