Abu dhabi: The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Arbor Biotechnologies during the BIO International Convention 2026 in San Diego, USA. This partnership aims to advance gene-editing research and develop innovative therapies for rare and inherited diseases.
According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration will explore various opportunities including the development of advanced therapeutics and biomanufacturing. Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of DoH, highlighted the potential of gene editing to address the root causes of diseases.
