DP World Foundation Delivers 17,800 Food Aid Packages Across Eight Countries

Dubai: DP World Foundation, the philanthropic arm of DP World, has delivered 17,800 essential food supply boxes across eight international locations, supporting approximately 45,000 people. The initiative benefitted individuals across Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, and Somaliland, with an investment exceeding US$ 1 million.

According to Emirates News Agency, the deliveries were executed in close coordination with DP World's local business units since early February. The programme showcases the Foundation's capability to leverage its global network for efficient and large-scale humanitarian assistance. The Global Food Aid 2026 programme is designed to combat economic pressures and food access constraints faced by vulnerable families. By collaborating with local teams, the Foundation ensured consistent delivery standards across diverse regions, aiming to reduce immediate hardship and contribute to community stability and resilience.

Nasser Abdulla, Vice Chairman and CEO of DP World Foundation, emphasized the crucial need for essential food support in many global communities. He highlighted the Foundation's ongoing efforts, particularly during Ramadan, to provide practical and coordinated assistance to families in need. Abdulla reaffirmed the commitment to humanitarian efforts, drawing inspiration from the mission established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which remains a core aspect of the UAE's resilient and enduring identity.
