Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection Partners with ENOC’s AutoPro to Enhance Vehicle Maintenance Sector

Dubai: The Dubai Corporation for Consumer Protection and Fair Trade (DCCPFT), a division of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has entered into a strategic collaboration with AutoPro, part of the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) Group, to improve service quality, transparency, and operational consistency in Dubai's vehicle maintenance sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, under this agreement, AutoPro will serve as a technical and operational partner, aiding the implementation of quality standards across the sector. The collaboration aims to conduct structured technical assessments, introduce best-practice frameworks, and support awareness initiatives to enable consumers to make informed choices when selecting vehicle service providers.

This partnership underscores DCCPFT's commitment to fostering a balanced marketplace where both consumers and businesses operate within a transparent framework. It aligns with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which targets doubling the emirate's economy by 2033 and bolstering Dubai's status as a premier global business and leisure destination.

The agreement sets up a structured framework for technical oversight in the automotive aftersales market, contributing to consistent service delivery and reinforcing accountability among providers. By embedding recognised technical standards and promoting fair pricing practices, the initiative aims to enhance market discipline and reduce potential disputes between consumers and service providers.

Mohammed Abdulla Shael AlSaadi, CEO of DCCPFT, remarked, "This collaboration is a practical step towards strengthening consumer protection in the automotive sector. Partnering with a trusted entity, we aim to enhance the consistency of vehicle maintenance services while reinforcing market transparency. Our focus remains on improving service standards and supporting informed consumer choices, while helping businesses operate within clear and fair frameworks."

Hussain Sultan Lootah, GCEO of ENOC Group, noted that AutoPro's recognition as an authorised service partner, achieved through this collaboration, aligns with ENOC's vision of providing high-quality, customer-centric automotive solutions to advance the UAE's automotive landscape. He added that the partnership contributes to safeguarding consumer rights and ensuring fair business practices, fostering a competitive and thriving economy.

The collaboration will also facilitate the development of a more informed consumer base through targeted awareness efforts designed to enhance understanding of service standards and rights. By merging regulatory oversight with industry expertise, the initiative supports the consistent application of quality and compliance standards across vehicle maintenance services, reinforcing Dubai's position as a leading global model for well-regulated, consumer-centric service markets.
