Dubai: Dubai Police have announced their participation in the 14th edition of the Sikka Art and Design Festival 2026, organized by Dubai Culture, taking place from 23rd January to 1st February in the historic Al Shindagha district. This involvement underscores Dubai Police’s commitment to bolstering its cultural and community role by supporting arts and creativity, thereby enhancing its positive public image and aligning with its vision for active cultural and community engagement.
According to Emirates News Agency, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, emphasized that Dubai Police’s participation is rooted in a strong belief in the pivotal role of culture and creativity in connecting with the community and reinforcing national identity and belonging. He explained that the organization’s ongoing presence at cultural and artistic events is a reflection of its strategic direction to leverage the arts as a means for community awareness and civilised expression.
Al Mansouri added that Dubai Police views security work as intrinsically linked to cultural and social engagement, considering culture and the arts as crucial allies in creating a cohesive and secure society. The initiatives presented during the festival, including artistic paintings, historical exhibits, and interactive activities, are designed to highlight the human and cultural aspects of policing through an integrated approach that merges security and creativity.
At the festival, Dubai Police are presenting an artistic painting created in collaboration with a renowned international artist, depicting His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The exhibition also showcases selected artistic military formations from Dubai Police Academy graduation ceremonies, along with an artistic sculpture of the Dubai Police cannon shell.
Visitors have the opportunity to explore the ‘Echo of Identity’ project, which emphasizes Dubai Police’s recognition as the world’s strongest police brand, as per Brand Finance. The exhibition includes artefacts from the Dubai Police Museum, such as historical documents, and content showcasing the history of the Dubai Police Band. This is complemented by national, heritage, and musical compositions that reflect Dubai’s cultural identity and spirit.
The Tourist Police Department is contributing by offering awareness lectures for tourists, distributing gifts, and conducting live demonstrations of tourist security patrols. Dubai Police are also engaging with the community through the Al Sunaa Studio ‘Makers Studio’, a platform that supports creativity and cultural content production. Additionally, the participation includes Khalid magazine, which provides awareness-focused and interactive content for children and families through art workshops.
