Dubai: Dubai Police's Mobile Cannon, known as Al Rahal, commenced its Ramadan journey across the emirate, starting at Zabeel Park on the first and second days of the holy month, which fell on 18th and 19th February. The journey is set to continue to the Umm Suqeim Majlis on the third and fourth days, from 20th to 21st February.
According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative provides residents and visitors the chance to gather and engage with the Ramadan atmosphere, aligning with the cherished customs and traditions of this blessed month. In addition to its presence in Dubai, the mobile cannon will make its way to Hatta, visiting several locations over three days, from 1st to 3rd Ramadan, beginning at Hatta Fort Roundabout.
During Ramadan, the Mobile Cannon is scheduled to visit 17 locations, moving from Zabeel Park to Umm Suqeim Majlis, then proceeding to JBR, Bab Al Shams Hotel, Al Meydan Hotel, Global Village, Atlantis Hotel, Nad Al Sheba Majlis, Margham area, Burj Khalifa, Lehbab area, Al Khawaneej Majlis, Marsa Boulevard, Al Warqa area, Vida Creek Harbour, and finally Al Barsha Park.
Dubai Police emphasize the significance of iftar cannon events during Ramadan, as they play a role in reviving Arab and Islamic customs and traditions within the UAE community. To enhance this experience, six cannons will be stationed throughout the month at key locations: JBR, Burj Khalifa, Damac Hills, Expo City Dubai (Al Wasl Plaza), Dubai Festival City, and Vida Creek Harbour Hotel.
