Dubai to Host Prestigious WORLDEF Dubai 2024 Forum on Digital Commerce.


Dubai: Dubai CommerCity, in collaboration with the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) and Wasl Properties, has announced the hosting of the WORLDEF Dubai 2024 forum on 4-5 December 2024. The event is set to take place under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to advancing the digital commerce sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, the WORLDEF Dubai 2024 forum is organized by WORLDEF, an international platform dedicated to supporting the growth of cross-border e-commerce and digital commerce companies globally. The forum will convene over 5,000 representatives from leading digital commerce organizations and bodies, aiming to foster collaboration, facilitate knowledge sharing, and explore emerging trends influencing the industry’s future.

With delegates from 40 countries, the forum will delve into innovations and trends at both regional and global levels. A significant focus will be on growth opportunities in alignment with the Dubai Economi
c Agenda D33, which aspires to double Dubai’s economy by 2033 and position the emirate as a leading global hub for digital economy and international trade.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ and Chairman of the Board of Dubai CommerCity, emphasized that hosting the forum underscores Dubai’s strategic commitment to strengthening its position as a global leader in trade and digital commerce. He highlighted the importance of an integrated ecosystem that enhances the sector’s contribution to the non-oil national economy.

Dr. Al Zarooni added that the forum will empower local and international digital commerce companies by fostering growth and regional expansion. With the UAE’s e-commerce market projected to reach AED70 billion by 2029, the forum will showcase Dubai’s achievements in the sector, driven by its advanced logistical and digital infrastructure.

Discussions will cover customer-centric innovation, quick commerce, sustainable logistics, investment opportunities, artificial intelligence, and ethical trade.

The event will feature keynote speeches, panels, and discussions on current and future trends in digital commerce, showcasing successful case studies. Experts will explore the latest innovations and technological developments shaping the sector’s future.
