EDGE Group and ELT Group Explore Joint Venture in UAE for Electronic Warfare Systems

Abu Dhabi: EDGE Group, a prominent advanced technology and defence entity, and ELT Group, a leader in innovative technology for electromagnetic spectrum and cyberspace, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the establishment of a joint venture in the UAE. The agreement was formalized by Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, and Enzo Benigni, Chairman and CEO of ELT Group, during the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) 2025.

According to Emirates News Agency, this collaboration aims to assess synergies in defence technologies, with a focus on innovation in Electronic Warfare. If successful, the joint venture would be based in the UAE and concentrate on developing Electronic Warfare systems, including Cyber Electromagnetic Applications. A prospective area of collaboration could involve integrating these solutions into vessels by EDGE Group’s maritime division, ADSB, and MAESTRAL.

Enzo Benigni emphasized that the partnership aligns with ELT’s strategy to enhance its presence in the UAE defence ecosystem by collaborating with entities like EDGE Group. The goal is to deliver advanced, locally developed EMSO solutions to the UAE and bolster their position in export markets, particularly in non-NATO countries.

Hamad Al Marar stated that the collaboration represents the beginning of a long-term partnership with a respected developer of technologies for the electromagnetic spectrum and cyberspace. By merging ELT Group’s expertise with EDGE’s capabilities, the venture aims to integrate advanced systems and solutions across various domains, improving situational awareness, threat detection, and countermeasure capabilities in air, land, maritime, and space operations.
