Dubai: EDGE, a leading global advanced technology and defense group, is set to unveil an impressive array of 42 new products and solutions at the forthcoming Dubai Airshow 2025, marking one of the most ambitious product launches in its history.
According to Emirates News Agency, the new offerings from EDGE cover a wide range of sectors, including autonomous systems, smart weapons, propulsion systems, space capabilities, radar technologies, and secure communications. This diverse portfolio underscores the United Arab Emirates' burgeoning industrial prowess.
Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, reflected on the significance of the Dubai Airshow to EDGE's journey, noting its pivotal role since the company's inception in 2019. He stated, "From a bold idea to a global force, we've now launched 42 new products in a single day and more than 250 across our portfolio." He emphasized the group's success in meeting local market needs while also competing on a global scale, with exports accounting for over 53% of their revenue.
One of the highlights of the new launches is Omen, a hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle (AAV) that is part of the newly announced EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance. This collaborative effort allows EDGE to leverage Anduril's Lattice software platform, enhancing AI-driven command and control capabilities.
Other significant products include JERNAS-M, a medium altitude, long endurance (MALE) UAV designed for persistent ISR and precision strike, and VORTEX-E, which offers precise counter-drone interception. The STRIKE system provides a rugged fixed-wing weapon carrier for extended tactical reach in medium altitude missions.
EDGE's new suite of smart weapons is set to disrupt the market with cost-effective and high-performance solutions. Notably, the WSM-1 offers long-range cruise strike capabilities with AI-assisted terminal retargeting, while DARKWING and THUNDER-ER present versatile and cost-effective strike options.
The expansion of EDGE's propulsion portfolio is another milestone, incorporating a broad range of engines and rocket motors to support autonomous systems and smart weapons. This development aims to secure a resilient local supply chain and enhance the group's technological capabilities.
In the space domain, EDGE introduced ZENITH, a sovereign space operations and data orchestration platform designed to unify access to multi-sensor imagery and data, bolstering mission operations across Earth observation and space awareness domains.
Further advancements in EDGE's radar and intelligence systems portfolio include the AL HARRIS X, a next-generation AESA radar for short-range air defense, and the AMES P, an airborne reconnaissance pod. Additionally, the KATIM GATEWAY X9000M network encryptor enhances secure communications with its compact and portable design.
Since its debut at the Dubai Airshow in 2019 with 30 products, EDGE has expanded its portfolio to 250, showcasing 150 products at this year's event. This growth is attributed to sustained investments in sovereign capability and strategic partnerships that have bolstered EDGE's competitiveness in international markets.
Under the theme 'Always Ahead Always Above', EDGE continues to exhibit its advancements in air, space, propulsion, smart weapons, and secure communications at the Dubai Airshow 2025.
