Dubai: Emirates Airline has signed an agreement with Dubai Investments Park (DIP) to acquire land for a new purpose-built Cabin Crew Village. Representing a multi-billion-dirham investment, the development will feature a mixed-use and residential community designed to accommodate up to 12,000 cabin crew members.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed by Ali Mubarak Al Soori, Emirates' Chief Procurement and Facilities Officer, and Khalid Bin Kalban, Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Investments. The signing was witnessed by senior executives from both organizations, including Adel Al Redha, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer, and Omar Al Mesmar, General Manager of Dubai Investments Park.
Groundbreaking for the project is planned for the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase expected to be completed in 2029. The development is being delivered through a long-term lease arrangement. The Cabin Crew Village will consist of 20 residential buildings, each rising 19 floors, offering a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units tailored for crew comfort and convenience.
Ali Mubarak Al Soori stated that the cabin crew are central to the experience Emirates delivers to customers and emphasized that this investment supports their wellbeing by offering living spaces designed around their needs and lifestyles. He highlighted that the Cabin Crew Village will provide everything needed within a single, thoughtfully planned development with access to everyday essentials, leisure facilities, and communal spaces.
Omar Al Mesmar remarked that Dubai Investments Park has become a destination for global enterprises to bring ambitious projects to life. He noted that the collaboration with Emirates reflects the confidence leading organizations place in DIP's infrastructure and regulatory ecosystem. The development will enrich DIP's community, supporting Dubai's growth as a global center for business and opportunity and enabling partnerships that create long-term value for the emirate.
