Abu dhabi: Ethmar International Holding (EIH), a prominent Abu Dhabi-based investment holding company, has joined forces with Guggenheim Brothers Media (GB Media), a private investment firm specializing in media and entertainment, to establish a substantial investment fund targeting the media, entertainment, and digital creative economy sectors globally.
According to Emirates News Agency, this collaboration marks a significant step forward in the development of the fund, leveraging EIH's regional expertise alongside GB Media's extensive experience in global creative investments. The initiative aims to propel Abu Dhabi's status as a global hub for creative industries, fostering next-generation content innovation.
Guggenheim Brothers Media, drawing from the Guggenheim family's historical influence on culture, will concentrate on investments in areas such as content creation, creator tools, digital intellectual property, entertainment technologies, and fan engagement platforms. This endeavor is spearheaded by Dillon Lawson-Johnston and Criswell Fiordalis, who collectively possess over two decades of experience in the entertainment and media sectors. Lawson-Johnston, a descendant of Solomon R. Guggenheim, aims to continue the family's cultural impact, while Fiordalis brings leadership experience from major industry players.
The fund aspires to offer a world-class platform based in Abu Dhabi, providing creative entrepreneurs and their teams the opportunity to excel on an international scale. The collaboration is viewed as a catalyst for new opportunities that will enhance both economic and creative value in Abu Dhabi.
