FNC and Australian Senate Discuss Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation


Abu dhabi: Dr. Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of the Federal National Council’s Parliamentary Friendship Committee with European Parliaments, met today at the Council’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi with Raff Ciccone, Chair of the Australia-UAE Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Australian Senate. The meeting was attended by Ridwan Jadwat, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to the UAE.



According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of developing and fortifying cooperation channels between the Federal National Council and both the Australian Senate and House of Representatives. The focus was on enhancing collaboration in parliamentary diplomacy to support national issues and unify positions on mutual topics of interest during parliamentary engagements.



Both parties agreed on the need to activate the Parliamentary Friendship Group’s work through the exchange of visits and parliamentary expertise. This initiative aims to support the bilateral development pathways between the UAE and the Commonwealth of Australia, ultimately benefiting the peoples of the two nations.
