Fujairah: H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, announced the launch of the Fujairah Media Forum, scheduled for 10th and 11th February, organised by the Fujairah Government Media Office. The forum aims to serve as a platform for Arab media professionals to address current challenges and the future of media in the digital age.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum’s Higher Organising Committee recently held a press conference attended by Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court, along with other officials, media professionals, and forum organisers. The event was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fujairah City.
Al Dhanhani emphasized the significant developments in the media ecosystem in Fujairah, driven by the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and supported by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. He noted the forum’s importance as a platform for elite Arab media professionals to discuss pressing challenges and issues related to new media.
He further explained that technological advancements have facilitated the rapid circulation of information, while also posing challenges related to misinformation through digital technologies and artificial intelligence. The Fujairah Media Forum will focus on these issues, aiming to anticipate the future of media amid digital transformations. The forum will feature panel discussions and specialised workshops to foster the exchange of expertise among media professionals.
