Abu Dhabi: The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and AMMROC, a leading provider of military aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul services in the region, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing collaboration in aviation training, skills development, and operational excellence.
According to Emirates News Agency, this strategic partnership highlights a commitment by both parties to improve human capital and align with global practices in aviation training and workforce excellence. This initiative is in line with the UAE's vision to advance its aviation sector through innovation and talent development.
Under the MoU, AMMROC will focus on the International Aviation Consulting and Training (IACT) as its preferred training provider, ensuring that its engineering and technical teams receive specialized training tailored to industry needs. The agreement sets a framework for developing customized training programs that address AMMROC's operational needs while incorporating global best practices in aviation maintenance and safety.
The MoU was signed by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, and Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, during their participation at IDEX2025. Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi emphasized the significance of this collaboration in advancing aviation training and capability development in the UAE, ensuring that AMMROC's workforce receives training aligned with global standards. Jasem Al Marzooqi also underscored the strategic importance of the partnership, reinforcing AMMROC's commitment to building a highly capable workforce.
The collaboration will focus on enhancing hands-on training capabilities. Both parties will engage with top-tier training providers to ensure access to state-of-the-art facilities and expertise. Furthermore, GCAA and AMMROC will explore opportunities for innovation in aviation training, leveraging emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and elevate industry benchmarks.
