Abu Dhabi: The third edition of the Global Media Congress will feature a series of training workshops designed to develop media talent, offering participants the opportunity to acquire new skills and enhance their existing expertise in addressing emerging media challenges and utilising artificial intelligence tools.
According to Emirates News Agency, the workshops will cover a wide range of training programmes, skill enhancement sessions, and professional, practical, and scientific development initiatives. Industry leaders will share their expertise on cutting-edge technologies and methodologies shaping the future of the media sector.
The workshops will focus on key themes such as sustainability, sports broadcasting, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. More than 25 workshops, led by specialised experts, will take place, with each session accommodating over 40 participants.
On the first day, the workshops will spotlight topics such as mobile journalism, the evolution of TikTok content, ef
fective use of generative AI and data in reporting, leveraging data for business and economic coverage, media literacy for recent graduates, and AI tools to boost productivity.
Day two will explore strategies media leaders use to support their teams, tips for mastering Instagram Reels content, utilising AI to grow audience engagement, creating compelling WhatsApp content, the future of podcasting, and methods for overcoming algorithms to stand out on social media platforms.
The final day will feature sessions on the art of cinematic storytelling in content creation, effectively targeting older audiences, the importance of content moderation in the digital age, AI’s potential to enrich content, AI usage in small newsrooms, and insights into influencer content marketing and monetisation.
Amid rapid transformations in the media sector, the Global Media Congress aims to accelerate these shifts globally through thought leadership and enhanced partnerships, helping organisations adapt and thrive in this evolv

partnership with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the third edition of the Global Media Congress 2024 will take place from 26th to 28th November at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi under the theme ‘Envision, Engage, Empower”.
