Gridora and ADPIC Collaborate on AED35 Billion Transport Infrastructure Projects

Gridora: Gridora, the new infrastructure platform established by ADQ, IHC, and Modon Holding, has signed its first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) to deliver transport infrastructure projects valued at AED35 billion.

According to Emirates News Agency, this agreement represents a significant milestone for Gridora in its mission to advance the delivery of strategic infrastructure projects. The partnership will establish a framework for collaboration on the development, planning, and implementation of infrastructure projects within Abu Dhabi. The focus of the MoU will initially be on creating a working committee to explore potential opportunities and pilot projects from ADPIC's roster of initiatives, which are mandated to have a minimum value of AED 35 billion.

Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of Gridora, expressed that Gridora's expertise and resources are poised to deliver infrastructure that supports the nation's economic and population growth. The MoU with ADPIC highlights a mutual commitment to accelerating critical transport infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. This collaboration aims to be transformative, positioning Gridora as a key partner in ADPIC's infrastructure endeavors.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, emphasized the partnership's focus on enhancing Abu Dhabi's growth as a global city. By leveraging Gridora's capabilities, the collaboration seeks to expedite project delivery, improve cost efficiency, and provide long-term value to Abu Dhabi and its communities.

Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of ADPIC, noted that infrastructure is a vital enabler of opportunity and sustainability. The MoU with Gridora aligns with ADPIC's goals to enhance connectivity and quality of life throughout the emirate, while furthering Abu Dhabi's strategic vision and long-term objectives.

Bill O'Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, remarked on the potential to unlock Gridora's capabilities through this MoU, ensuring the growth of the newly announced infrastructure platform. The initiative is seen as a step toward enabling world-class cities with innovative infrastructure.

Operating under Modon Holding in partnership with ADQ and IHC, Gridora functions as a strategic platform for collaboration with partners and capital providers, facilitating large-scale infrastructure projects. This MoU signifies the beginning of planned engagements to advance public-priority infrastructure, fostering collaboration between public and private sectors, and showcasing Gridora's significant business scale.
