Hamdan bin Mohammed Meets with Malaysia’s Defence Minister at IDEX


Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met today with Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Malaysia’s Minister of Defence.



According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 17th International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan welcomed the Malaysian Minister, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to constructive cooperation and a readiness to enhance relations with brotherly and friendly nations. The conversation highlighted the growing bilateral ties between the UAE and Malaysia, driven by a mutual commitment to strengthen cooperation across various sectors.



The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration through exchanging expertise and technology transfers, with both parties emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest. The meeting also addressed key regional and global developments, with both sides reaffirming the necessity of unified efforts to maintain regional security and stability and promote the principles of peaceful coexistence worldwide.



The meeting was attended by Major General Staff Mubarak Saeed bin Gafan Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025; and Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence.
