Hazza bin Zayed Engages with UAE Cybersecurity Council Delegation on Digital Advancements


Al ain: H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, welcomed a delegation from the UAE Cybersecurity Council (CSC) at Al Maqam Palace. The delegation, led by Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the CSC, discussed initiatives to enhance the nation’s digital framework.



According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting focused on the CSC’s efforts to bolster digital infrastructure and cultivate national expertise in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These efforts aim to create a robust digital ecosystem aligned with global technological advancements, ensuring a secure environment for businesses and institutions across vital sectors.



H.H. Sheikh Hazza reviewed plans to expand the CyberE71 Incubator Programme. This flagship initiative seeks to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in cybersecurity by nurturing transformative ideas from students and entrepreneurs in the Al Ain Region. The programme emphasizes capacity building and innovation through an environment that supports the development of advanced solutions to protect cyberspace and foster the digital economy.



H.H. Sheikh Hazza underscored the necessity of cultivating cybersecurity talent nationwide to enhance the UAE’s cyber defense capabilities. This development aims to secure a digital environment for businesses, boosting economic productivity, global competitiveness, and accelerating digital transformation towards a knowledge- and innovation-based national economy.



He also stressed the significance of increasing cybersecurity awareness among individuals and entities. This awareness is crucial to countering digital and cyber threats, safeguarding national achievements, and keeping pace with future directions in AI and digital transformation. Such awareness underpins comprehensive and sustainable development across key economic sectors.



The UAE Cybersecurity Council delegation expressed gratitude for the meeting, noting it highlights H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s commitment to overseeing priority sectors and his ongoing support for national initiatives. These initiatives are designed to enhance digital readiness and fortify an integrated cybersecurity ecosystem that supports development in the Al Ain Region and beyond.



The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
