The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) delegation participated in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) at the UN headquarters in New York, hosted by the UN Economic and Social Council. The forum's main focus was the discussion of innovative solutions for debt relief.During the forum, IsDB representative Amir Hamza Syed underscored the Bank's unwavering commitment to sustainable development and debt relief. He highlighted the bank's efforts to provide concessional and blended financing and its focus on enhancing technical assistance and capacity building in member countries through a unique capacity-building mechanism.The bank's delegation actively participated in an event organized by UN Women, demonstrating the bank's strong support for marginalized groups. The event aimed to promote collective action across the Sustainable Development Goals and highlighted the Bank's ongoing efforts to improve the lives of marginalized groups, particularly women, by enhancing their access to edu cation, health services, and financial resources.The high-level forum also saw bilateral meetings between the bank's delegation and UN partners in preparation for future international events, including the upcoming Summit of the Future of the 78th UN General Assembly and the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in Spain in 2025.
