Rome: Italian industrial output decreased by 0.2 percent in 2025, following much steeper falls of 4 percent and 2 percent, respectively, in 2024 and 2023, data showed on Wednesday.
According to Emirates News Agency, the country’s industrial output fell 0.4 percent in December compared to the previous month. Despite this decline, industrial output increased in the fourth quarter and showed a year-on-year rise, as reported by the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat).
Moreover, on a work day-adjusted, year-on-year basis, industrial output rose 3.2 percent in December following a 1.4 percent rise in November, indicating tentative signs of recovery.
