Japan’s Nikkei Climbs as Tech Shares Rally Ahead of Earnings

Abu dhabi: Japan's Nikkei share average climbed for a second straight session on Wednesday as stronger semiconductor stocks lifted sentiment before closely watched technology sector earnings. The benchmark Nikkei 225 advanced 1.75 percent to 67,388.70, while the broader Topix rose 1.19 percent to 4,062.66.

According to Emirates News Agency, tech-industry suppliers and chipmakers led gains on the Nikkei, which had 135 advancers against 89 decliners. This movement in the market was primarily influenced by investor anticipation of earnings reports from key players in the technology sector. The positive trend in semiconductor stocks played a significant role in boosting the overall market sentiment.
