Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Oversees Strategic Partnership for Drone Technology in Abu Dhabi


Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has witnessed the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), Colorado-based Nova Sky Stories, and Abu Dhabi-headquartered Analog, an Emirati company, specialised in physical intelligence and mixed reality.



According to Emirates News Agency, through this multi-year partnership agreement, Abu Dhabi is set to launch an initiative that will integrate drone technology into large-scale immersive storytelling, further establishing its position as a hub for innovation in culture and entertainment. The synchronised drone performances will create narratives across multiple iconic locations, weaving together the emirate’s heritage and future.



The agreement will introduce a fleet of 10,000 light-show drones, a first-of-its-kind in the region, blending cultural narratives with drone technology to create experiences. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, noted that by using innovative technologies, they are finding new ways to share their vision and culture with the world.



Kimbal Musk, CEO and Co-Founder of Nova Sky Stories, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that Abu Dhabi is at the forefront of innovation and will have the largest fleet of advanced light drones for storytelling and entertainment. Alex Kipman, Founder and CEO of Analog, added that Abu Dhabi’s skyline will become a dynamic canvas for storytelling, fusing tradition with technology.



The initiative, powered by real-time synchronisation and adaptive intelligence, will transform Abu Dhabi’s skyline into a canvas for innovation, showcasing the possibilities of live entertainment.
