Dubai: The winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award (MBRKA) 2024 showcased their intellectual, creative, and humanitarian contributions that led them to receive this prestigious honor, during their participation in a distinguished panel session as part of the proceedings of the Knowledge Summit 2024, which is being held at the Dubai World Trade Center on 18th and 19th November 2024.
According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Ahmed Eid Khamis Thani Almheiri, an Emirati physicist and researcher specializing in theoretical physics, narrated the details of his scientific success story, highlighting the key milestones and achievements in it. He emphasized the importance of this honor, stating it motivates him to continue on the path of scientific research and exploration and contribute to the progress of science.
Another recipient, Dr. Andrew Ng Yan Tak, a computer scientist and AI pioneer, expressed his pride in receiving the award, noting it as a significant motivation for his continuous effor
ts in technology and artificial intelligence. He described it as a special moment in his life and a milestone in his career.
Dr. David M Clark, Professor Emeritus of Experimental Psychology, and Dr. Anke Ehlers, Professor of Experimental Psychopathology, also shared their joy upon receiving the award. They highlighted that it encourages them to persist in their research efforts in the field of diseases and medical treatments.
The session, moderated by Sally Mousa, an international presenter and speaker, saw the winners express their gratitude to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) and the MBRKA organizers. They indicated that this honor would inspire innovators, youth, and pioneers to continue on the path of innovation.
These distinguished individuals join a long list of MBRKA winners, an award launched in 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to honor major knowledge achievements and encourage innovation and creation in the field of knowledge.
