Maktoum bin Mohammed Celebrates Minister of Finance Award for Institutional Excellence 2025


Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, honoured the winners of the Minister of Finance Award for Institutional Excellence 2025, highlighting the leadership’s dedication to fostering a culture of excellence, enhancing the Ministry’s competitiveness, and boosting its readiness for participation in national excellence awards.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed congratulated the award winners, appreciating their efforts and professional models that reflect commitment and responsibility in government work. He emphasized that their performance showcases the capability of national talent to convert visions and policies into tangible achievements, supporting institutional performance development and the country’s strategic objectives.



H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed praised the award winners’ performance, noting the award’s role in strengthening the government financial ecosystem by embedding high performance standards that link efficiency with sustainability. He emphasized the importance of building flexible financial institutions capable of anticipating changes as a benchmark for achieving national financial targets.



The ceremony, held in Dubai, was attended by Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and other Ministry officials. The event featured the announcement of winners in two main award categories: the individual ‘Stars of Excellence’ and the institutional ‘Outstanding Achievement’, along with honoring the external evaluation team from the Ministry of Interior.



Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini expressed that the award represents a clear strategic direction to embed a culture of performance in government work, supporting institutional readiness and helping the Ministry adapt to rapid public sector changes. He emphasized the investment in human capital as the cornerstone of successful institutional transformation.



The winners in the supervisory category included Asma Alzarooni, Azza Aljassmi, and Amna Al Shamsi, with Abdullah Al Zaabi receiving the Long Service Star Award. In the non-supervisory category, awards were given to Dr. Sahel Al Rousan, Nouf Al Hammadi, Shamsa Alraeesi, Iman Abdulla, and Khulood Karmustaji.



The ‘Outstanding Achievement’ category saw the ‘Federal Public Debt Instruments Programme’ winning first place in the ‘Best Achievement in Enhancing Competitiveness’ category. Other initiatives recognized included the ‘Development and Enablement of the Federal Government Digital Asset Management Ecosystem’ and ‘Specialised Emirati Financial Leadership in International Forums’.



Additional awards were granted under the Internal Zero Bureaucracy category, and the ‘Unsung Hero’ award was presented to Omar Elezzaby. The Best Customer Service Ambassador category recognized Fatima Abdul Rehman.



The evaluation team from the Ministry of Interior, including Colonel Khalifa Al Suraidi, was honored for its role in the adjudication process. The award aims to align closely with government priorities, transitioning towards a sustainable excellence ecosystem and enhancing the Ministry’s competitiveness in national awards.
