Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, received H.H. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of H.H. the Emir of Qatar. Sheikh Jassim is visiting the UAE on the occasion of the Global Champions Arabians Tour in Abu Dhabi, organized by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. The event sees participation from an elite group of breeders, owners, and studs globally.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mansour and Sheikh Jassim exchanged cordial discussions, highlighting the strong fraternal relations between the UAE and Qatar. They attended part of the second day’s activities of the Global Champions Arabians Tour Championship for the 2026 season, marking its inaugural event in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency (NANA) and Vice Chairman of the EAHS Board of Directors; Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State, along with other sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
Earlier, Sheikh Jassim and his delegation arrived at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi and were received by Sheikh Mansour, who expressed his pleasure in welcoming them to the UAE.
The Abu Dhabi Tour, which is the opening round of the 2026 season, was launched on Friday and will conclude on Sunday, featuring 162 horses of the finest purebred Arabian lineage. The total prize money exceeds $1 million, underscoring the championship’s high standard and competitive value.
The championship represents successful cooperation between the Emirates Arabian Horse Society and the Global Champions Arabians Tour, ensuring a professional model in terms of organization, judging, and technical standards. This collaboration enhances the confidence of owners and breeders and elevates the status of Arabian horse beauty championships internationally.
Launched in 2024, the Global Champions Arabians Tour is a prestigious series of purebred Arabian horse beauty championships. Now in its third consecutive season, it is hosted in distinguished locations that blend modernity and heritage and offers the highest prize value in the history of horse beauty competitions.
The tour aims to showcase the purebred Arabian horse on an international platform, celebrating heritage, elegance, and excellence.
