Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, has approved the renaming of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation to ‘Zayed for Good Foundation’. The foundation operates under Erth Zayed Philanthropies and aims to continue its mission of global philanthropy and humanitarian work.
According to Emirates News Agency, the foundation will be led by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Chairman, with H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan serving as Vice Chairman. The renaming aligns with the humanitarian legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, known worldwide for his philanthropic contributions.
The foundation, established 33 years ago, focuses on charitable and development initiatives inspired by Sheikh Zayed’s vision. H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed emphasized the foundation’s dedication to perpetuating Sheikh Zayed’s giving spirit and acknowledged the support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Additionally, the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, was highlighted.
H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed stated that the renaming is a significant step aimed at improving institutional performance, integrating efforts, and maximizing humanitarian impact. It aims to align with international best practices while bolstering the UAE’s humanitarian presence both regionally and globally.
The Zayed for Good Foundation will continue to focus on charitable, humanitarian, and development initiatives, including food and water security, sustainable agriculture, and livestock development. It will also implement regional and international programs and provide emergency relief assistance following leadership directives.
