MBRF Organises Knowledge Ambassadors Workshop for Dubai Government Entities

Dubai: The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organised a Knowledge Ambassadors Workshop for Dubai Government entities to discuss key strategic themes of the 11th edition of the Knowledge Summit.

According to Emirates News Agency, the workshop was themed 'Knowledge: Navigating Crises in a Changing World,' and the Summit is scheduled to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on 17th and 18th November 2026. The workshop convened Knowledge Ambassadors from a wide range of government entities across Dubai, including Dubai Police, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and many others.

Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, expressed that the workshop reflects the Foundation's commitment to strengthening knowledge integration and collaboration with government entities. He emphasized that these efforts support resilient and sustainable knowledge development pathways. Through the Knowledge Summit, the Foundation aims to provide a global platform for dialogue and expertise exchange around significant transformations and challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI), crisis management, and human capital development. He stated that investing in knowledge and empowering people are essential pillars for building future-ready societies.

Dr. Hany Torky, Chief Technical Advisor of the Knowledge Project at the UNDP, highlighted the importance of collective action and knowledge exchange among government entities and strategic partners. He noted that the gathering supports the development of initiatives that transform knowledge into impactful and sustainable development outcomes. The Knowledge Project aims to advance knowledge production, dissemination, and localisation globally, ultimately contributing to empowering individuals, institutions, and societies.

The workshop reviewed key themes for the Knowledge Summit 2026, focusing on AI's transformative role and emerging technologies across key sectors. Discussions included strategies to enhance societal preparedness in addressing crises with resilience and efficiency, while balancing economic growth, environmental responsibility, human well-being, and sustainable development.

Future skills and human capital development were also highlighted, with an emphasis on lifelong learning and workforce reskilling to prepare future leaders and build agile education systems.

The workshop concluded with recommendations to shape the framework of Knowledge Summit 2026, with participants emphasizing the alignment of efforts to strengthen knowledge production and exchange across government institutions. These efforts aim to enhance societal preparedness and resilience across various sectors.
