Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Impact 165 Million Lives in 2025

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the results of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) Year in Review 2025 report. The report reveals that MBRGI, the largest humanitarian and aid organization in the region, spent over AED2.3 billion on various projects and programs, positively impacting the lives of 165 million people across 122 countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, the MBRGI's Year in Review 2025 report was unveiled during a Board of Trustees meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed. The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, among others. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the organization's extensive spending across aid, healthcare, education, and community initiatives, emphasizing the importance of creating a lasting impact through sustainable endowments and long-term institutional structures.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that MBRGI continues to set a precedent in humanitarian action, transitioning from crisis response to prevention through sustainable solutions and impactful partnerships. He noted that MBRGI's achievements in 2025 reflect a strategic vision rooted in innovative philanthropy and sustainable resources. He also highlighted the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Endowment District and the Fathers' Endowment campaign as significant milestones in 2025.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary General of MBRGI, stated that the foundation continues to establish an integrated institutional model for humanitarian and development work. He emphasized the importance of sustainability, measuring impact, and fostering partnerships both locally and globally. Al Gergawi also commended the dedication of the MBRGI team and volunteers, whose contributions were pivotal to the success of the 2025 initiatives.

The MBRGI's 2025 Year in Review highlights various initiatives across key areas, including Humanitarian Aid and Relief, Healthcare and Disease Control, Spreading Education and Knowledge, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Empowering Communities. Notable achievements include the completion of the 1 Billion Meals initiative, the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship initiative, and significant contributions to healthcare and educational programs worldwide.

In 2025, MBRGI's initiatives engaged nearly 186,000 volunteers and 990 staff members, providing crucial support for numerous humanitarian, health, educational, cultural, and community-focused projects. The foundation also awarded over AED30.3 million to incentivize and recognize achievements in humanitarian and developmental work, further solidifying its commitment to fostering hope and building a safer, more stable future.
