Mohammed Bin Rashid Initiative Completes Packing of Over 10 Million Meals for Gaza Relief

Dubai: Under directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has successfully completed the packing of over 10 million meals for the people of Gaza. These meals are set to be delivered aboard the Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship.

According to Emirates News Agency, this effort is part of a collaborative initiative with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, launched by the UAE to support Palestinians and address their urgent needs. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized the UAE's commitment to providing relief to Palestinians through this operation, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative underscores the UAE's long-standing principle of supporting Arab nations.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the overwhelming community response to MBRGI's project, which aimed to pack 10 million meals. He expressed pride in the enthusiastic response of over 20,000 volunteers, reflecting the UAE's spirit of solidarity with Palestine. Sheikh Mohammed stated, "The UAE will always remain a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian people and their cause."

Initially, MBRGI sought only 2,000 volunteers for the meal-packing effort, but the response exceeded expectations with over 20,000 participants in a single week. This turnout highlights the UAE's values of generosity and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The meal-packing event was held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City, and saw remarkable community engagement. Sheikh Mohammed attended part of the event, meeting with volunteers and acknowledging their essential role in the campaign's success.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary General of MBRGI, reiterated the UAE's unwavering support for Palestinians. He noted that the provision of over 10 million meals builds on the nation's humanitarian efforts over the past two years. Al Gergawi highlighted the UAE community's solidarity and compassion, demonstrated by the massive volunteer turnout.

MBRGI, the region's largest foundation of its kind, aims to tackle global challenges and empower communities. Founded in 2015, MBRGI consolidates over 30 initiatives and institutions, focusing on humanitarian aid, healthcare, education, innovation, and community empowerment. In 2024, the foundation spent over AED 2.2 billion, benefiting approximately 149 million people across 118 countries.
