MoHRE Closes 12 Domestic Worker Recruitment Offices, Refers Cases to Public Prosecution

Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that it has shut down 12 offices involved in the recruitment of domestic workers without the necessary licences. These cases have been referred to the Public Prosecution, facilitated by coordination with the Economic Development Departments across the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ministry also uncovered 300 violations committed by 57 domestic worker recruitment offices in 2025. In a press statement, MoHRE emphasized its commitment to taking legal, administrative, and financial actions against non-compliant offices. This includes the potential cancellation of licences in instances of repeated offences.
