MoIAT Launches ‘Make it in the Emirates’ National Campaign with Competitive Enablers for Industrialists

Abu Dhabi: Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, witnessed the nationwide launch of a national campaign under the 'Make it in the Emirates' platform to promote UAE-made products. The initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), aims to enhance the presence of locally manufactured products across nine leading retail and e-commerce platforms in the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the campaign will run throughout May, featuring prominently in the lead-up to Make it in the Emirates 2025. The participating partners-ADNOC Distribution, Noon, Tradeling, Grandiose, Talabat, Carrefour, Lulu, Union Coop, and Spinneys-will provide significant incentives for manufacturers. These incentives include registration fee exemptions, free digital advertising, logistics, and storage support for up to three months, and assistance with product registration and promotional video production for social media.

The initiative will offer new manufacturers additional support, such as the creation of free online storefronts and exemption from storage and logistics fees for up to three months. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the ministry and campaign partners, emphasizing the collaborative effort to promote UAE-made products.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, highlighted the campaign's alignment with the ministry's efforts to foster collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers across the UAE. He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in enhancing the competitiveness of local companies and supporting the investment climate under the 'Make it in the Emirates' initiative.

Key figures, including Al Suwaidi, Engineer Bader Al Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, and Mansoor Al Ghurair, CEO of Noon, expressed their commitment to supporting and promoting locally made products. They underscored the strategic significance of the initiative in building a resilient industrial and commercial ecosystem within the UAE.

The campaign coincides with preparations for Make it in the Emirates 2025, set to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 19-22 May. The event will serve as the UAE's premier industrial platform, bringing together leading manufacturers, investors, and strategic partners from both public and private sectors.
