San jose: On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, attended the inauguration ceremony of Laura Fernandez, President of the Republic of Costa Rica. Noura Al Kaabi conveyed greetings from UAE leaders to President Fernandez, extending their congratulations and best wishes for progress and prosperity for Costa Rica's government and people.
According to Emirates News Agency, President Fernandez reciprocated by sending her greetings and best wishes to the UAE leaders and people. Noura Al Kaabi also engaged with various officials, including Francisco Gamboa Soto, First Vice-President, and Manuel Tovar Rivera, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica, among others.
Noura Al Kaabi reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to strengthening its partnership with Costa Rica, marking the sixteenth anniversary of diplomatic relations. She emphasized the progress made in cooperation, highlighting fifteen agreements, including the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which supports a robust economic relationship. Al Kaabi noted that bilateral ties extend beyond trade to include strong people-to-people connections.
"The UAE is proud of the strong and principled partnership it has built with Costa Rica over the past sixteen years," Al Kaabi stated. "The UAE looks forward to continuing to work closely with Costa Rica to advance shared goals and explore new horizons of cooperation for the benefit of both our peoples."
