Dubai: Mohammed Al Refai, Chief Executive Officer of National NRTC Group, announced that the group operates one of the world’s most advanced agricultural technology systems, serving approximately 200 farms across the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Refai highlighted the group’s success in adapting advanced technologies to produce high-value, climate-sensitive crops such as blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, even during the challenging summer season. This adaptation was discussed during an interview on the sidelines of Gulfood Dubai.
He elaborated that the project, initially launched locally on a 35,000 square metre area, is gearing up for expansion into Gulf countries and global markets. This expansion is bolstered by the group’s recent acquisition of Ripe Organic, an entity that collaborates with 35 certified local farms. Additionally, strategic partnerships with European companies aim to facilitate knowledge transfer and minimize reliance on manual labor. These efforts align with the
UAE’s goals for food security and sustainable local production.
