Baghdad: Iraq announced today that the number of aircraft using its airspace has recently increased significantly. Iraqi Ministry of Transport spokesperson Maytham Al-Safi said in a press statement that the number of aircraft transiting Iraqi airspace daily has risen to more than 700, whereas the previous average ranged between 300 and 350 aircraft.
According to Emirates News Agency, Iraq earns $9.45 million per month from the use of its airspace, according to the latest official statistics.
