President of North Macedonia Praises Human Fraternity Document as Global Peace Model

Fujairah: Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, President of the Republic of North Macedonia, emphasized the significance of the Document on Human Fraternity as a pivotal global model for promoting dialogue and understanding among peoples. She commended the United Arab Emirates for its leading role in supporting humanitarian initiatives and advancing the values of tolerance and peace worldwide.

According to Emirates News Agency, her remarks were made during an official reception hosted by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace at the Al Aqah Heritage Museums Village in Fujairah. The event was attended by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Council; Timco Mucunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia; Khalid Al Ghaith, Secretary-General of the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity; and several senior officials.

The president highlighted the importance of strengthening the values of human fraternity to address global challenges and build a future based on coexistence and respect for diversity. She praised the council's efforts in promoting dialogue among civilizations.

The visit coincided with the anniversary of the signing of the Document on Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi in 2019 by the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, and Pope Francis. This date is recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of Human Fraternity on 4 February.

Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan remarked that the meeting underscores the importance of international relations rooted in dialogue and mutual respect. He noted that the event aimed to reinforce humanitarian messages of communication and global peace.
