In its editorial, Al-Watan newspaper said that the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) launched its third Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP) under the slogan "The 1st Choice for Our Community's Health," which represents an important stage for the PHCC and is in line with the Third National Health Strategy, as well as the Third National Development Strategy.The paper added that the primary healthcare system has proven its effectiveness and success in ensuring better health outcomes for the community. It stands as one of the indicators of success in Qatar's healthcare sector, having efficiently tackled health challenges, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, and met the requirements of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This success has earned the PHCC international recognition, and repeatedly obtaining the Diamond-level accreditation certificate from Accreditation Canada International (ACI), the Leadership in Human Capital Development Award as part of the Qatar Government Excellence Award, and the first plac e in the National Cyber Drill.The newspaper concluded its editorial by saying that the third Corporate Strategic Plan is built on key pillars, such as Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Health Strategy. These strategies focus on several core areas in the healthcare sector, most notably population health, setting ambitious goals to improve health outcomes, and enhancing the quality of healthcare services. These pillars have been integrated into the new plan to achieve further successes.In another topic, English-language newspaper The Peninsula said that two-time Asian champions Qatar have revitalised their AFC Asian Qualifiers Road to 2026 campaign with a crucial victory over Kyrgyzstan.In its editorials under the headline "Qatar Revive Road to 26 Mission," the paper said that under the guidance of coach Marquez Lopez, Qatar aim for a top-two finish in their group to secure direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place across the United States, Canada and Mexico.Qata r faced considerable pressure after an unexpected defeat to the UAE, followed by a draw against North Korea in their opening matches.
