Sharjah: The total value of real estate transactions in Sharjah's Central and Eastern Regions during the first half of 2025 has reached AED 1.6 billion, reflecting a significant increase of 143% compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Real Estate Transactions Report issued by Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department.
According to Emirates News Agency, a total of 12,346 transactions were registered through the department's branches, with a total area of sales transactions amounting to 22 million square feet. Omar Al-Mansouri, Director of the Branches Department at Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, highlighted the exceptional growth in real estate transactions during this period, indicating increasing investor confidence in the region. This growth is attributed to ongoing development of infrastructure projects, urban expansion, and investment incentives by the Sharjah Government.
Al-Mansouri further noted the strong demand for property ownership in the Central and Eastern Regions, driven by improved living standards and smart services. The Central Region alone recorded transactions exceeding AED 1 billion. The total transaction value at the four branches represented 5.8% of Sharjah's overall real estate trading value. Specifically, the Central Region accounted for AED 1.1 billion, Khorfakkan AED 294.8 million, Kalba AED 117.9 million, and Dibba Al-Hisn AED 11 million.
In the Central Region, 493 sales transactions were completed across 39 areas, with 'Industrial Area 1' and 'Al-Blida' accounting for 44.4% of these. Khorfakkan saw 126 sales across 24 areas, primarily in 'Al-Harai Industrial' and 'Al-Harai Commercial'. Kalba recorded 100 transactions, with 'Al-Tarif 5' being a significant area. Meanwhile, Dibba Al-Hisn had 7 transactions.
Mortgage transactions in the regions amounted to AED 178 million through 215 deals, with the Central Region, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al-Hisn contributing various numbers. Initial sales contracts totaled 581, valued at AED 732 million, with the Central Region and Khorfakkan being major contributors.
