Dubai: Salik Company, the exclusive toll gate operator in Dubai, has entered into a strategic partnership with Shamal Holding to enable seamless parking payments at Dubai Harbour's newest multi-storey parking facility, Harbour West Car Park, starting from July 13, 2026. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, and Abdulla Binhabtoor, CEO of Shamal Holding, in the presence of executives from both organizations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration will see Salik providing seamless parking payment solutions in partnership with Parkonic. This initiative will allow visitors to make parking payments through their Salik accounts, eliminating the need for traditional payment methods. The integration is expected to streamline access and exit processes, improve traffic movement, reduce travel times, and enhance the overall customer experience at the facility.
The new parking facility spans nine storeys and covers a total built-up area of 31,487 square meters, including rooftop parking. It will offer 845 parking spaces to accommodate the needs of Dubai Harbour and surrounding areas such as Dubai Marina, Marina Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Dubai Media City, and Dubai Internet City.
CEO Al Haddad stated that the partnership represents a significant milestone in Salik's journey towards becoming a comprehensive mobility and digital payments platform. He emphasized Salik's commitment to expanding its services across strategic locations and delivering smarter, more seamless solutions for its customers.
Binhabtoor expressed that Dubai Harbour is one of Shamal's most ambitious projects, and the partnership with Salik aligns with their vision of developing a world-class destination. By integrating Salik's payment solution into the new parking facility, they aim to enhance the visitor experience by removing friction from their journey.
The collaboration underscores both companies' commitment to advancing smart mobility infrastructure, thus providing a more efficient parking experience at Dubai Harbour. It also supports the operational efficiency of the facility and enhances customer convenience through integrated digital platforms and Parkonic solutions.
This MoU aligns with Salik's strategy to expand its digital ecosystem beyond tolling services and accelerate the adoption of seamless payment solutions across key destinations and transport networks. It also supports Shamal's vision of elevating service standards and developing advanced infrastructure to position Dubai as a leading smart, connected, and sustainable city.
