Bali, Indonesia, At the end of its participation in the work and activities of the 10th World Water Forum, held in Bali, Indonesia, from May 18 to 25, 2024, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the award for the best three pavilions participating in the exhibition held during the forum. The Kingdom highlighted its efforts to develop the water sector and its regional and international contributions to supporting water issues and finding solutions to them by showcasing the most prominent products and innovations of the water system in the Kingdom.The Kingdom's delegation was led, on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli. The delegation concluded its participation in the forum by achieving many economic and investment gains, in addition to strengthening and enabling partnerships, and exchanging experiences and know ledge with several countries of the world.Al-Fadhli held several bilateral meetings to discuss ways of cooperation in the fields of water, irrigation, and the environment with his counterparts in the member states. He invited them to participate in the next session of the forum hosted by the Kingdom in 2027.The closing ceremony of the forum also witnessed the official receipt of the file to host the 11th World Water Forum, which will be held in Riyadh in 2027 under the slogan "Working for a Better Tomorrow." This hosting represents an inspiring step towards achieving sustainable development goals in the field of water and preserving its resources. It consolidates the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting water issues at the regional and international levels, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.Representatives from several water system organizations participated in scientific dialogue sessions and presented working papers on the topics of the forum, which discussed sev eral water-related issues. These topics included water security and prosperity, sustainable water financing, governance, cooperation and water diplomacy, disaster risk reduction and management, as well as knowledge and innovation. The organizations also participated in many specialized technical workshops and made detailed presentations on their most prominent innovations and studies to address current and future water challenges and problems.The Kingdom's pavilion drew the attention of visitors, including representatives of the participating countries, international companies, and those interested in the field of water. It provided a unique experience by highlighting the Kingdom's efforts in developing the water sector and its regional and international contributions in supporting water issues and finding solutions to them by showcasing the most prominent products and innovations of the water system. The pavilion also highlighted the Kingdom's efforts and strategic plans to achieve water security and susta inability.The pavilion reviewed the most prominent innovations and achievements made by the Kingdom in the field of water resources management. Water system organizations showcased the most notable innovations and accomplishments of Saudi Arabia in managing water resources. Through the exhibition, they also presented the most significant investment opportunities in the field of water to participating countries and international water companies interested in expanding their investments globally. These opportunities include investing in scientific research, using the latest technologies and artificial intelligence, and developing desalination technologies.The Kingdom will host the 11th session of the World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2027.
