Abu dhabi: Seven leading Korean companies in the nuclear energy sector are participating in the Korean pavilion at the World Future Energy Summit, an event held as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. Jinsil Kim, Assistant Manager at the International Affairs Team, Department of Global Cooperation at the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum (KAIF), and spokesperson for the Korean Pavilion, highlighted the involvement of these companies.
According to Emirates News Agency, Kim stated that the pavilion is organized by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum. This forum is the sole association taking part in the event and represents over 500 Korean companies active in the nuclear energy industry. The forum plays a crucial role in articulating the views of Korean nuclear energy companies to policy-making bodies and fostering relationships with relevant international entities, aiming to elevate the Korean nuclear industry on a global scale.
Kim further elaborated that the participating companies each fulfill distinct roles within the Korean nuclear energy sector, encompassing operations of nuclear power plants, as well as engineering, design, and technical services. Some of these companies are recognized as the largest within the Korean nuclear energy sector, significantly contributing to the operation of nuclear power plants in the Republic of Korea.
The participation in the summit is designed to highlight Korea's proficiency in exporting nuclear power plants and to share its expertise with the international community.
