Baghdad Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, opened today, Wednesday, the expanded meeting and hearing session of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, in which the Ministers of Finance of the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government were hosted.
The issue of revenues and entitlements of the region and the implementation of the provisions and instructions of the Federal Budget Law for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025 were discussed.
During his speech with the attendees, according to a statement from his office, the Deputy Speaker of Parliament praised the efforts of the Finance Committee and its endeavor to resolve the issues and files between Baghdad and Erbil, adding, “We support the fruitful steps and understandings between the Ministries of Finance in the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to reach satisfactory solutions and address the files between the two sides.”
He stressed that the continuation of dialogues and coordination will enhance the state of communication, solve problems and outstanding files, and resolve the issue of salaries of the region’s employees./End
