Sharjah: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) has launched the second cohort of the Sharjah Programme for Training and Qualifying Job Seekers, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The programme's introduction included an awareness workshop titled 'Administrative Awareness and Workplace Discipline', marking the official commencement of the training initiative.
According to Emirates News Agency, this cohort involves 788 trainees distributed across five training centers in the Emirate. The distribution aims for broad geographic coverage, with 187 trainees in Sharjah City, 124 in the Central Region, 184 in Khorfakkan, 170 in Kalba, and 123 in Dibba Al Hisn. The programme spans six months, consisting of three months of specialized qualification programmes and three months of field training in collaboration with accredited institutions and government entities.
Each trainee is provided a monthly stipend of AED6,000, with Sharjah Islamic Bank handling the activation of participants' bank accounts to ensure timely stipend disbursements. Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the SDHR, stated that the initiative is a testament to Sharjah's commitment to developing national talent, driven by leadership's vision to invest in human capital and provide employment opportunities for Emiratis.
